About Us
Asbestos testing and removal for Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh area: tested first, sealed off, cleared by an air test.
Pittsburgh Asbestos Removal tests for and removes asbestos in houses across Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties. The job is deliberately narrow: find out what a suspect material actually is, and where it has to come out, take it out under containment and prove the area is clean before anyone goes back in. A negative lab result ends with us telling you so.
Pittsburgh's housing is old. Much of the city was built before the Second World War, when steam heat, coal furnaces and asbestos-wrapped pipe were standard, and the post-war suburbs that followed were built in the years when vermiculite, vinyl-asbestos floor tile and cement siding were everywhere. What we find in a house depends mostly on when it was built, and around here that usually means something.
Estimates are free and given after the material has been identified and measured, because an asbestos job cannot be priced honestly from a photo. The price is set by what the material is, how much there is, how hard the area is to seal and what the permit or notification requires. You approve the number before any work starts.
Licence numbers, insurance limits and years in business are facts about the company doing the work. They appear on this site only once they are confirmed, and you should ask any contractor you call for them in writing.
A work area that has been cleaned looks the same as one that has not. That is why containment stays up until an air test shows the area is clear, and why you get that result on paper.
